Übrigens will ich ja auch eine neue, angepasste Version meiner Mailserveranleitung herausbringen, doch es ist einfach viel Arbeit, die ich auf absehbare Zeit nicht so einfach unterbringe :S

bei einer nächsten Version werde ich den Thunderbird-Autoconfig Kram wohl weglassen. Der bläht die Anleitung nur unnötig auf und wird vermutlich von den wenigsten umgesetzt oder benötigt.

Es hat sich über die Jahre ein kleiner, aber bedeutsamer Fehler eingeschlichen, der die Performance der Mailservers stark mindert:
Weil ich bei einer Konfigurationsänderung vergessen habe, eine smtpd Zeile anzupassen, wird der smtpd für eingehende Mails auf Port 25 nur mit max. einem Thread ausgeführt. Das solltet ihr auf "-" (100) zurückstellen.
I recommend #XMPP - #OMEMO for most users [#Gajim and #monoclesChat are excellent clients for that!] but if you are an organization then consider #Zulip and if you already have a #Mailserver and use #PGP / MIME then @delta / #DeltaChat may be a good option [tho I'd recommend using a seperate eMail account for that!]...

To me this is entirely undesireable behaviour for any eMail-Provider but then again so is the entire proposition of not using real #E2EE and instead letting some 3rd party appliance/service handle it - regardless if #SEPsesam or @Tutanota or #ProtonMail or whatever.
@gaycookie But yeah, #Microsoft are assholes more often than not as I've experienved literally in the pas:
They don't do #AbuseHandling but will yeet any #SelfHosted#Mailserver silently if one dares to sent them >100 eMails per day in total per Domain and/or IP Adress - which is easier reached than not if one uses #DeltaChat and in general as all recipients are counted seperately...
Naturally their uses can't alow-list one nor do they see anything in that regard.
Mailserver is "a no pain, minimal configuration, full-featured dockerised mail server" based on postfix and dovecot. Goal of this project is to ship a DKMS / DMARC / SPF mailserver system whose emails are accepted by GMail / Outlook etc. out of the box.
Apropos #Mailserver und #rspamd, hat sich auch jemand anders schon mal Gedanken zur Vertrauenswürdigkeit von #rspamd und den dynamisch von rspamd.com nachgeladenen Configs gemacht? Hat das z.B. jemand angesichts der Entwicklungen der letzten Jahre abgestellt? Gibt es alternative Feeds, z.B. von Heinlein?
Modern IMAP replacement. It's not in Dovecot, yet. But planned to be included, if you can trust a mailing list message from 2016 (I didn't expect JMAP to be so old!)
It comes with SPF, DMARC, and DKIM integration, helpers for setting up DNS entries, and an optional monitoring suite. Instructions on and an example of how to connect a containerised mailman 3 are included.
It's operational on three hosts now and has gotten some real-life practice -a good time for cutting a 1.0!
