Really loving the new artist pages on #ListenBrainz, finding out which tracks are the most popular and also discovering fellow listeners. Very much reminds me of #LastFM and the community that built up around that. I know people still scrobble to the latter, though it feels it has stagnated, whilst ListenBrainz continues to evolve as @metabrainz actively adds new features.
My year in music from #listenbrainz (only used it a few weeks now but I love it). Also love that the listening status is implemented into #Sharkey and visible in real-time on the profile if you set this up 👀 Very nice work

Rob has been finessing all kinds of bits and pieces for a long time now, and you should be able to get some pretty complex stuff working in there. Feedback and code contributions very welcome.
Very impressive to read everything that #ListenBrainz achieved last year. Didn't know about the Art Creator, particularly love the LPs on the floor template, for example here are my most listened to albums for 2023 https://mastodon.social/@metabrainz/111999735197519468
Pleasantly surprised that my #ListenBrainz stats for the year reveal a strong bias towards newer music despite being some distance past a half century old. Also reasonable cultural variety.
This means that anyone who updated their listen links, genre tags, and so on, will now see these changes reflected in their YIM page. We have also generated new YIM’s for anyone who recently imported listens from 2023.
Mes stats #Listenbrainz représente bien mes journées de travail* 8h - 19h ~ avec les 2 blanc de 16h à 18h le lundi et le jeudi qui sont mes séances de natation.
#ListenBrainz just released their #YearInMusic! I feel like my genres and new artists are a little off, prolly because I'm bad about genre-ing stuff on MusicBrainz... lol
So behind with a lot of stuff because I've been busy with adding new artists, information, tracking official #SNS accounts, and fixing things over at #MusicBrainz.
MusicBrainz is a #PublicDomain database for anything related to #music. Artists, labels, tracks, albums, groups/bands, stage names, even instruments, and roles.
The database of MusicBrainz is actually used by a lot of other websites, one good example is the music tracker #LastFM and MusicBrainz sister project #ListenBrainz.
If you love to help the community, go check it out!
Or, if you've been building databases, but the info is behind non-open, non-sharing licenses, why not give your time and effort to a Public Domain database? Help the community, and tell your employer to use their database instead!
Hey, ListenBrainz’s annual “Year in Music” just dropped! So here is a sneak pic of what I listened the most to this year.
To be fair, it’s not really representative. I only added the Web Scrobbler extension to my browser at the end of the year, so a lot of the stuff I listened to earlier in 2023 doesn’t appears here. That’s why My Chemical is not on this list for example.
#strawberry music player has the best support for musicbrainz and listenbrainz that i've found. some stuff still wouldn't read… it turns out they were ALAC files that are only somewhat compatible with ID3v2.4. songs with multiple artists would vanish. transcoded to flac, sorted. #ListenBrainz#MusicBrainz@metabrainz
