Jane and I always bet on the date our #lake will have ice out. In March, I selected May 5th. She gets all the other dates. If i win, i get to take her to dinner. If she wins, I get to take her to dinner.

Nature is filled with beauty and also fascinating. Migrating Canada geese can fly 1,000 miles in just 24 hours, often returning to the same destination year after year.
The lake dam between Rapperswil and Hurden is one of the most beautiful places for me to photograph in my region. Especially in the summer I am often on tour here. Although it is anything but quiet on the dam itself because of the busy road and the railroad line.
Looking at the photo, wouldn't you think that this place must be very quiet? Nothing is as it looks.
