I've got an #iPad / #OSINT puzzle, and I could use any suggestions anybody has to throw out there.
Back in 2022 in the middle of the pandemic a medical provider in NYC sent my uncle an iPad to attend a virtual appointment on.
I'm trying to figure out how to return it to them, or barring that, to factory reset it so that it can be returned to service as a useful device rather than a nearly brand-new iPad needing to be recycled.
This has proven to be... difficult. #Apple#tech#hacking

So I have a presentation tonight, and thought I would promote BornHack a bit @bornhack
It is a very nice, cozy, HYGGE camp in Denmark July 17-24. You should consider it if you need a break from the outside world.
I looked these pictures I took of my camp, and associated KEA tent from last year. It sums up the camp for me, sleeping tent, working tent, serious tent and when the night falls, music and lights

Column called "Click & Double Click" in the The Southeast Missourian, dated 5th of August 1997. Columnists Dennis & Darren talk #hacking, in particular cult of the dead cow and I spy a @dethveggie homepage. "These guys seem to proclaim themselves #hackers, but they appear to be selling out"
🇮🇱 Spying, hacking and intimidation: Israel’s nine-year ‘war’ on the ICC exposed | @guardian

“I do believe that we have a societal challenge ahead of us to understand digital security in the same way that we understand, security in the everyday traffic environment,” he said."
@helma while I agree on the threats 100%, people are going to get a bigger sense of urgency if they can relate it to what they have been coming across all their life. That was the point I was trying to get across.
@WebSpider I understand 🙂 and indeed.
It's just, for example when I think of the new digital door stuff like key and video, it's just so much more difficult to install properly. Yet the products are offered.
🇪🇺 Disruptive digital attacks, many of which have been traced to Russia-backed groups, have doubled in the European Union in recent months and are also targeting election-related services, according to the EU’s top #cybersecurity official.
A hacker group has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack that targeted auction house Christie’s earlier this month.
The attack took place just before the start of its high-profile spring sales event involving more than $850 million worth of art. Online bidding was suspended, but the group claims it has accessed sensitive information about wealthy art collectors around the world, and is threatening to release it unless “an agreement” is reached.
