Is there a quick way to save my Google docs files to .docx all at once? I’ll do them one at a time if I must, but there’s got to be a quick way. #GoogleDocs#WritingCommunity#FileTransfer
how you move to next elements, e.g. headings, comments, footnote in a google doc? here goes! ctrl+alt+n, ctrl+alt+c for next comment, except when you press ctrl+alt+n, nvda starts/quits,
so what's the alternative? #accessibility#nvda#screenReader#googleDocs
Knowing how much I have on #GoogleDocs ... I'm going to pretend that as long as I don't look at it, it's still there till I have time to deal with this 😩
One of my problems with #GoogleDocs is that it will block access if it thinks your browser is incompatible.
As a user of UserAgent obfuscators this is really annoying when someone wants to share a Doc with me. #Nexcloud (with the #OnlyOffice plugin) does it exactly right, by warning me that I might encounter problems, but it is still up to me to decide if I want to accept the possible complications.

IMO, if a client wants me to use a certain software product or quite, like #GoogleDocs or #Office365, then they should setup an account for me under their domain or account.
That's logical, right? Why does that seem so perplexing to them?
Indonesia’s Communications Ministry added Google Docs to its list of banned websites for several hours before removing it this morning.
The entire Docs suite became inaccessible during the time it was banned but seems to have returned to normal now. Database search on the block list now returns no result for the Google Docs domain.
Deputy Communications Minister Nezar Patria denied the Ministry blocked the Google Docs URL despite evidence and inability to access the service since last night. He seems to insinuate a rogue staff or a mistake in the URL’s addition to the blocklist.
Docs remain inaccessible to a number of users in Indonesia, but should be cleared for most by now.
#Enshittification isn't inevitable: under different conditions and constraints, the old, good internet could have given way to a new, good internet. Enshittification is the result of specific policy choices: encouraging monopolies; enabling high-speed, digital shell games; and blocking #interoperability.

Shapiro and his co-author #NunoPreguiça envisioned #CFRD as the building block of a new generation of P2P collaboration tools that weren't exactly serverless, but which also didn't rely on servers as the lynchpin of their operation. They published a technical paper that, while exiting, was largely drowned out by the release of #GoogleDocs (based on technology built by a company that Google bought, not something Google made in-house).
Powerful people imprisoned by the cluelessness of their own isolation, locked up with their own motivated reasoning: "It's impossible to get a CEO to understand something when his quarterly earnings call depends on him not understanding it."

But an override also provides serious benefits: it rules out the monopolistic abuse of a TPM to force users to run malicious code that the manufacturer insisted on - code that prevented the user from doing things that benefited the user, even if it harmed the manufacturer's shareholders. For example, with owner override, Microsoft couldn't force you to use its official MS Office programs rather than third-party compatible programs like #iwork#GoogleDocs or #LibreOffice.
Did you know that you can use voice typing in Google Docs to create amazing content without typing a single word? 🗣️
Voice typing is an excellent feature that allows you to dictate your thoughts and ideas to Google Docs, and it automatically transcribes them for you. It's perfect for people who have difficulty typing, want to save time, or just prefer to speak rather than type. 🙌
You just need a microphone, a Google account, and a browser. You can also edit and format your document with voice commands, such as "bold that" or "insert bullet list". 🚀
Voice typing is not only a convenient tool, but also an accessible one. It can help people with disabilities, injuries, or other limitations to express themselves and create content. 🌎
What do you think about voice typing in Google Docs? Have you tried it before? Do you have any questions or feedback for me? Let me know below. I'd love to hear from you. 💬 https://youtu.be/WgANbfKi7Mk
With these detailed APIs, it is likely possible to develop live synchronization between #Emacs#OrgMode and #GoogleDocs. However, a significant amount of work is expected...
@mykhaylo Thank you, Mykhaylo. I want #googledocs specifically, and properly formatted with #OrgMode and not just one time export, but live editing. That would need quite amount of work. It's probably not easy to utilize #pandoc, then.

@thelinuxEXP@nextcloud I work in a company of 20 people. We moved from #GoogleDocs to #NextCloud. We are running version 26.0.7. We started with #OnlyOffice to open office files in the browser, but just by opening a file, the original file gets changed and corrupted and it's impossible to recover the previous version of the file with NextCloud versioning tool. We are now trying #NextcloudOffice, but it seems to have problems opening xls files. Someone else using NC for work have same issues?
Quick links in Google Docs?
