Today’s #throwbackthursday is this simple animated NiGHTs chao that I did sometime in mid-2009. All of the frames were drawn in MS Paint, and I used a website to animate it, don’t remember the name of it right now. My chao anatomy went through a weird phase during that time.
It all started with a single thought, a moment of doubt in which, for the first time in her life, she questioned what she had been told about the matter.
And it grew from there. She asked more questions. She read books. She talked to others about her doubts -- most dismissed her, or even acted offended that she didn't just believe.
Years ago, it began to grow along the steep hillside overlooking the valley. As a sapling, it weathered the wind that buffeted it, struggled until it reached a size that its roots ran strong and deep.
How it managed to not be decimated by the deer passing through, it wasn't quite sure. But it made it, alone and lone, firm, and strong.
A fluffy sandhill crane chick with a soft, golden-brown down, standing about a foot tall. Its long, slender legs and beak are already well-defined, hinting at the graceful adult it will become, eventually reaching a height of up to four feet. The chick's adorable, curious demeanor and tiny size make it irresistibly cute.
New artwork/tarot card - No.58. Eight of Swords ✨ ⚔️ ⚔️ ⚔️ ⚔️ .
The Eight of Swords means self-imposed imprisonment, isolation, and being powerless/helpless (also depicted by the ivy covering its eyes like a blindfold) but getting the chance to find new perspectives on a difficult situation (hope & help are near).
