Everyone wants to go where the view is, but the thing is, the view isn't in just one place.
Lots of people hike Angels Landing Trail in Zion National Park, because there's a fantastic view. But if you step off the trail and take another, less well known one, you still get the view.

She made a conscious effort to smile on the inside, to school her thoughts in such a way that she was neither muttering hostilities nor trembling with fear.
And the odd thing -- or maybe it wasn't so odd! -- was that when she smiled inside she stood taller, walked with an easy grace, looked at the world with open, clear eyes, and . . . smiled on the outside as well.

The sound of the sea, the kiss of mist, rocks underneath my feet: I wander through Nature's remote places -- not in a hurry, not in a rush -- and find solace from the raucous sounds of strife that modern life calls reality.
But here, this is reality, one that I would like to learn more about, and wonder over, and simply be in.

Dream Path, colored pencil and digital art. I woke in a dream. Stone stairs I knew not beckoned me follow. Pondering I gazed. Magic danced in the sky, evermore enticing. What venture awaited me I'll never know, awakening too soon.

The air was warm, and heavy with humidtiy. This is Vietnam. We stopped for a break near a pearl farm on a quiet lagoon. This was a tiny village of sorts that stood out over the still water. I thought the little structures, that looked like tiny houses were so simple, yet perfect. I feel such peace when I look at this scene. A simple life.
I decided to sculpt this guy as a single mesh, instead of the usual blocking out with separate primitives. Then I separated the shirt once that was sufficiently shaped.
