#Mexico#eCommerce#Amazon: "So the e-commerce companies started developing their own courier services. Still, these new logistics providers don’t quite have the range to reach every address in Mexico.
Enter the humble corner shop. They’re found in the smallest, most remote communities and are deemed trustworthy by locals. Plus, they’re places that already receive shipments or mail, so they’re easy to find on delivery routes. This latter point was important across sprawling suburbs and rural or remote areas, where addresses tend to be inaccurate or outright missing from satellite navigation maps. E-commerce companies reached out to these shops, inviting them to become pickup and delivery points.
Shoppers can register these corner stores as P.O. boxes when making online purchases. And instead of going to an official DHL or UPS office, which may be in a different city altogether, they can use local shops to drop off an item they might want to return."

I live on the west coast of Sweden, just north of Gothenburg. I'm married and we have a son who will turn 18 in just a few days. I work in tech, with business-critical systems for the eCommerce sector. I'm #autistic and have #ADHD, was not diagnosed until I was 34. My interests are many, such as #science#tech#politics#climatechange#education#healthcare#travel#space and of course everything about #ecommerce.
Sylius has always prioritized transparency. This is why we are sharing the big news as soon as possible, even though we're still warming up after the process was finalized from the legal side. More importantly, we want to share what it means to the product and its community.
eBay sales kinda suck lately, and now they're trying to automatically opt you in to using their international shipping service (they may have opted you in to this- if you don't want it like I don't, go check to be sure).
I go to opt out (since my shipping is included in my U.S. listing price, international shipping is expensive and complicated, I don't like intermediary services, I only ship internationally in certain cases), and I get this. Opt out being processed?
Have so much extra stuff in my house I need to move on, I've mostly done eBay the last 20 some years but it's been DEAD on there lately. Throwing some stuff on Mercari today to try it out, my friend's had luck on there. Looks kinda promising. Only thing I hate about it is that it's like Amazon, the seller gets paid after the buyer receives the item. I've never liked that, having to front shipping money, but here we are. Also, Mercari's shipping estimates are too low/not updated with USPS' much higher prices now either, I noticed, so I'm just gonna ship myself, I don't want them compensating me wrong, shipping is pretty expensive now. But here we go. Fronting shipping to to try and move some of this stuff. 🙄🤣
