I used to watch men's too but their politics disgusted me so I quit. I have a #cat whom I absolutely ADORE. I love #dogs too but I have never had one. TIL the original Zamboni machine was built on a Jeep, and was popularized by a touring ice skater who happened to witness it: Sonja Henie.

His machine scrapes the ice, augers it into the tank, washes it, storing the dirty rinse-water, and then melts it and spreads it evenly behind with a "towel", where it quickly re-freezes evenly.

Update: Billboard's team said that Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," which topped the Top 100 in 1990, is the greatest pop song since the charts began in 1958. Writer Kyle Denis tells the story of how the song was written, and its ongoing success (its writers decline to say how much money the song made, but say it's sustained two households for two decades).
