Some days, I could just jump off a cliff.

This reality is fast becoming an amalgamate of all the negative #utopias I read years ago:

#Fahrenheit451,
#TheMatrix,
#SecondVariety,
#Wargames, #TheCompleteRobot, #Terminator including its #Skynet,
#Robocop,
#DoAndroidsDreamOfElectricSheep? (#Bladerunner),
and
#TheHandMaidsTale.
Hopefully, we are not also heading for #TheMinorityReport already (#AGI?)

These are only the ones out of the top of my head.

In fact,
@mina and I, as well as many others, just had an interesting discussion about my all-time favorite #SciFi saga, #Dune, including its remake. 🤜🤛

For me, #TheCompleteRobot, though technically not a saga, is in 2nd place, followed closely by #BattlestarGalactica, not the original series getting the bronze metal jointly with #Foundation.

However, regarding scope, there is nothing that beats #PerryRhodan, the biggest series ever.

...reading of #Asimov's #TheCompleteRobot was too long ago. Don't know whether he featured any organical #androids.

"...the clearest example of this is John #Brunner's 1968 novel Into the Slave #Nebula, where the blue-skinned #android slaves are explicitly shown to be 👉fully human👈.[35]..." might be another example.

I haven't read this book, but it review on #Goodreads sounds intriguing: "It was carnival time..."
