"Reporters Without Borders has filed its third complaint with the International Criminal Court about Israeli war crimes against journalists.
"RSF has filed this third complaint...because the number of journalists killed in Gaza by the IDF is continuing to grow..in an eradication of the Palestinian media."
Evidence suggests some journalists were deliberately killed, while "others were the victims of deliberate IDF attacks against civilians"

#Taiwan ranked 27th in RSF World Press Freedom Index 2024, up 16 places in 3 years!
Can be done? Yes, it can! And ironically, I suppose much of Taiwan's democratisation of media has been done out of fear of #China's invasion and a sort-of desire to differentiate.
Take a simple fact that when a radio DJ says goodbye, in China they would make it official, "zaihui" or "zaijian". Whereas in Taiwan, they'd say cute & somewhat familiar "bye byeeee" 😅
BTW #Poland is still "problematic", but we're up to 47th place, compared to 57th last year, and 66th in 2022. But that's still a far cry from rank 18 in 2015... #RSF#WorldPressFreedomIndex
"The war was both sudden and a long time coming. The short history is that of a country where, following a promising 2019 revolution that overthrew the dictator Omar al-Bashir, the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a powerful militia, ejected civilians from a power-sharing agreement between the three parties and then could not come to an agreement themselves"

@Sherifazuhur@sudan The armed forces are right to arrest some of the people of Darfur from the tribes that represent the incubators of #RSF, and most of them support it ethnically and push their children to fight alongside it and declare their loyalty to it. The matter is a bit complicated.
