xclim, an operational #Python library for climate services developed by Trevor James Smith, Travis Logan, and Pascal Bourgault, provides numerous climate-related indicator tools with an extensible framework.
xclim was accepted into the #pyOpenSci ecosystem in 2023, with the objective to make it as simple as possible for users to perform typical #climate services data treatment workflows.

The Pale Blue Dot challenge saw teams from around the world create visualizations to address the Sustainable Development Goals. There is an entire gallery of results and they used a wide range of data from NASA Earth Observatories.

Had my @Cmastication moment yesterday on stage here in Brazil when I told the audience, "I grew up on a dairy farm in Indiana. My grandfather would regularly use a wrench as a hammer", when challenged that my idea to release peer-reviewed manuscript model code-bases as open-source could result in people misusing the tools we share openly and thus should refrain. You can only educate. You can't enforce. More good comes from sharing than harm, IMO. #OpenScience
