CNN: Temperatures in Pakistan cross 52 degrees Celsius — that’s more than 125°F
"Temperatures rose above 52 degrees Celsius (125.6 degrees Fahrenheit) in Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh, the highest reading of the summer and close to the country’s record high amid an ongoing heat wave, the met office said on Monday.

"Wildlife biologist Gilberto Pozo attributed the deaths to a heat stroke, noting a “synergy” of factors — including high heat, drought, forest fires and logging that deprives the monkeys of water, shade and the fruit they eat — appeared to be to blame, while saying a pathogen, disease or other factor can’t yet be ruled out."

Just now i saw in this article that indeed there has been a 1000 % increase in #Heatwave mortalities! 290 homeless people in/around Phoenix last year. Just awful. NOAA: A dangerous early season heat wave will cointue over South Texas, and intensify in South Florida, through Memorial Day. Record warm overnight temperatures in these areas will provide little to no relief to those without adequate or reliable cooling.
