Ideas needed for heat triggered headaches. Online all I can find is test, hydrate and maybe an OTC pain med. My son and I are really suffering from it last two days. At least we’ve kept the migraines at bay but they lurk. Last night I was close to heat exhaustion: dizzy, heart rate up. Apparently it gets in via barometric pressure and sinuses. Our home is well air conditioned! At noon 115° outside. #Headache#HeatWave#Arizona#Phoenix
I'm curious if there are any hashtags that can be followed to help warn people with auditory sensitivities about painful high pitched noises that happen in movies, tv shows, video games, music, or any other form of media that incorporates audio into it's format.
Stuff like this warns about flashing lights and stuff for people that may suffer from epilepsy, but it doesn't warn for painful noises for people who would be sensitive to this, and knowing in advance whether or not something is going to feel like having nails driven into your ear lobes would be pretty handy.
If not, I think we should start a hashtag so that people can keep up with and update others when they encounter something that has painful sounds.
For example, the latest episode of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds was painful enough to make me scream in pain last night. So you might want to be on the lookout for Season 2 Episode 4: The Lotus Eaters.
Please boost this, because I think it's a good discussion to have.
I finally got some relief from #migraine several days in. First time I’ve not had severe light sensitivity in days. thank god I have great insurance $0 to get this as well as I hit my $1,500 out of pocket max because these pills are EXPENSIVE #headache#prescription#medication
I have such a nasty headache. Apparently, a migraine started while I was sleeping. Therefore no aura, and no opportunity to get ahead of it. I took a couple of Tylenol around 06:30 ET. Guess it's time for a couple of more.
This morning I woke up with a strong headache. I had to take a painkiller early, and I was able to sleep for another hour. It's been a busy day, with my head still feeling heavy. Just now, I'm dealing with an issue I can't seem to solve, and it seems trivial. Maybe it's time to shut everything down and tackle things again tomorrow...
They say coffee is sometimes the cause of a migraine. However, some research shows caffeine can actually help with the attacks and/or boost the effects of ibuprofein (which doesn't really help with the migraine itself but the pain).
Got a frustrating slow grower-pain today so decided to test it, because I have nothing to lose when it hits. It seems one shot of espresso does help. What a strange thing. I'm sure it depends on the individual, but good to know from now on.
I have successfully completed the first day of a two week period of severe dietary restriction. I'm going to eat nothing but white bread, white rice, plain chicken, and olive oil. Already, even vegetables are starting to look tasty.
Everything else is still untested. I'm going to try nuts this week.
Now I understand why it was so hard for me to find any patterns in what foods caused problems. Something like 80% of the typical American diet is off limits to me.
