Went to and spent so much time around writers and ideas that I wrote an entire 6,000 word short story over the course of the weekend.

Worth it just for that.

Also, many lovely people and interesting presentations.

Kermit the Frog is typing very, very quickly. The ideas are flowing. He must catch them all before they stop, never to return.

I've been writing for so many years and I still get caught up on Discrete vs Discreet. Do any of you have words you struggle with?

A monster on your world displays surprisingly intelligent activity. Has the monster gained some sense, or is someone steering them?

The workers in your world go on strike, or are unable to perform their duties for some other reason. How well does your society hold together?

Is the universe indifferent to the characters of your world, or have you created gods to pretend that the universe cares?

Medieval peasants had so many holidays and days off. Mostly because they had to feed themselves, make their own clothing and fix all their own stuff. How the people in your world survive from day to day?

Someone is not who they appear to be. I know that describes most characters, but go big with this one.

All the copies have arrived! Test prints for the new novel look great. I'll let you know where you all can get a copy when they go on sale in June.

How do you keep track of your work? Do you have a system?

Well, there's this file on my computer, which contains the book, and another file which contains a whole bunch of random notes.

I sometimes remember to back then up.

A.I. Scammers Are Impersonating Real Authors to Sell Fake Books.

Last fall, horror writer Brian Evenson got some surprising news: he’d apparently written and published a new novel.

14/02:
If you had to date one of your characters, who would it be?

I have dated some of my characters, or the real life versions of the people they're based on. Hetch was hot. You know who you are.

None of the rest of you do, as that book hasn't even been finished yet, let alone published.

13/02:
Do you ever write very short pieces (fifty words, flash fiction etc)?

Yes. I call them notes. They often become longer pieces. Like this book which started with the note, "Hill France angry girl." And became this chapter:

And eventually a book, launching on Kickstarter in April.
