Let's do our usual #MorningMoments and discuss what we all have planned for the day and the weekend?
For me, it's work stuff, website stuff and of course the Houston Texans playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens. Hoping my Texans can pull off a huge upset and get another playoff win today.
Other than that, just some video games to rest and relax.
Feels heavy to lose 2 goals in the dying minutes of the game. Wolves deserved their win though. They pressed hard and it was looking like they'd not be able to find the quality to score, but found it right at the end of the game unfortunately from a Spurs perspective.
We're being found out when it comes to squad depth; the early warning to this was against Fulham in the Carabao Cup.
WEEK 33: The Palestinian Women's football team arrive in Dublin yesterday for their game at Dalymont Park on Nakba Day (15th May).
Tickets are almost sold out but you can get them here if you're interested: https://bohemianfc.ticketco.events/ie/ie
EDIT: There's an option to make a donation if you can't attend the match. Thanks to @kathimmel for the heads up.
Either the aussies haven't sound insulated the commentary boxes very well, or the Spanish commentators are really loud, because underneath the usual sharp and sober analysis from the BBC commentators I can hear an undercurrent of fast, excited yelling in Spanish LOL
The amount of blatant sexist small dick energy on display over the #Lionesses victory yesterday is breathtaking.
The only difference between the mens' and womens' teams is the women ACTUALLY WIN STUFF. #Football
Good morning and happy Sunday to all of you here within the #Fediverse today!
Let's start our day and discuss what the day has in store for each of us as we get ready to wind down the weekend.
For me, just a lazy, rainy day here in Winston Salem, NC. I'll watch the Super Bowl Halftime show, but not the game itself since my Houston Texans aren't playing.
The saga of Waverley Park — Melbourne's car-dependent suburban AFL stadium with a planned seated capacity of over 150,000 (not a typo!)
A really good run down by @philip on the plans by the AFL (and its predecessor, the VFL) to build the world's largest stadium in outer-suburban Melbourne.
Unfortunately, a planned railway line past the stadium to Rowville was never built. That meant a massive 25,000-spot car park as the only real means to get there.
While most of it has been demolished and redeveloped for housing, the oval itself still used by Hawthorn Football Club as a training and administration centre.
The amount of time being spent on this bullshit about a bit of embroidery on a shirt is extraordinary.
Gammon flavoured politics all morning so far.
You have to wonder how much of a shit the Genoese or the Maltese give about it.
The (not real) person who people pretend killed a dragon must not be disrespected 🙄
I'm looking forward to seeing #UNC's plan for offsetting the #carbon and #water impacts of temporarily converting an entire football(1) field of artificial turf to #grass and back again for a single football(2) friendly, in the hottest part of the summer(3).
