It's odd, but I hadn't really considered #LFC without Jurgen. Brodge, sure, he was out of his depth and going was for the best. Kenny? Nice nostalgia trip, but was never going to stick around. Hodge? Wanted to give him a chance, but then he signed fucking Paul Konchesky as a statement of intent, and we all know how that worked out. Rafa, Gérard, Roy Evans, Souness, all came and went. But Jurgen, he just seemed like he'd always be there. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. #DankeJurgen
Good first half for #LFC, finding some success through quick combination passing, especially the triangle on the left with Diaz, Robbo, and Mac Allister.
Wolves were never going to play openly, which is understandable, but makes the game less fun. Expect some caromed goals as a tired 10 men continue to try to pack the box.
Quansah has play it. At first I thought he’d inadvertently poached Salah’s shot. In replay it was a very necessary touch. A great season for the young man. #LFC
Mac Allister with a lovely header. Another goal involvement for Elliot, who continues to be red hot. Everything had been down the left, until now. #LFC
It only seems a minute since I did this post last year but I'd like to sincerely thank everyone for being around on Match Days. You all help me enjoy the games and I'm very grateful for that.
Didn’t expect the self-immolation, although in hindsight, I don’t know why. It fits perfectly in the theme of the last few months. The mentality monsters are long gone.
Was surprised to see a fluke gifted-goal and thought maybe our luck had turned. We give them up, not get them. And so, naturally the football gods see to it that Villa get a fluke caromed goal. On brand.
So many mental errors and fatigued players on fumes.
Well, what a deeply disappointing match for #LFC. The thing is, Villa didn't have to do anything special to score three goals. We just handed the goals to them. Talk about self-destruction.
Having to time-shift #LFC until later tonight. I know it's a game that doesn't matter, but I'd like to see them play well and Klopp enjoy his final two games. 🤞
