@renwillis Yeah I could never really follow it either. I can sorta get into baseball and soccer, not to the extent of keeping up on either one but at least I know what's going on if I ever watch a game

Indian food and a murder mystery is a great combo. I'm partial to the British murder mysteries myself

@dave_heumann Us too! Britbox is life. We are on our re-re-watch of Lewis now. lol.

Definitely prefer baseball over football. Football is just white noise to me.

@renwillis I just started Lewis! Actually Endeavor was my first exposure to Inspector Morse's world, and I haven't yet pulled the trigger on paying to watch S9.

The new season of Shetland was pretty great too, if you're a fan of that one. I binged it last week.

We do Father Brown, Vera, Lewis, Poirot, Marple, and when we want something super silly, Death in Paradise.

@renwillis We've done all of those! Shetland and Endeavor have been more my thing than hers, but as for the others, we've both watched them. Also Midsomer Murders, and we watched several seasons of New Tricks, lol

@dave_heumann lol. Totally. But why does it all feel so much more high brow than American mystery/cop shows? Same tropes, same indignation from suspects, same convos, yet…. Brit versions feel so “smart” and “cinematic”.
