I was just informed by one of the admins that I have 14 days to leave functional.cafe after I called a troll doing genocide apologia in my comments a zionist ape, where should I go? What servers don't bow to the complaints of #Zionism?
Functional.cafe are claiming I'm simply a multiple offender of their rules, which i will admit is true ever since they changed their rules, but I would like for it to be clear. They changed their rules in October specifically to accommodate Zionists complaining about my posts, the very day a #BDS tagged post of mine blew up and became among the most shared BDS posts on the activity pub network. I initially agreed to CW political posts, but as #Israel's #genocide in #Palestine has accelerated, killing all but one of my students in Gaza along with most of their families, I've concluded that hiding this behind content warnings is itself bowing to mild repression for the sake of satisfying the demands of the most extreme oppression: genocide.
I've seen plenty of pro-genocide posts in the local server feed. I dont think they are being asked to leave or even getting their posts censored, as mine increasingly have been (even removing posts with many likes from months ago, apparently on demand).
I'm sad I'll be losing all my past posts, especially those about #lisp and #scheme that I occasionally rediscover. Where can I go that won't turn similarly sour? My time with the #fediverse may be up tbh. After being blocked and soft-blocked by nearly everyone I was buddies with in the #guix community (for years!) for being an anti-genocide Jew, and now this, its quite clear that even spaces that act like they stand for universal liberties above all are actually willing supporters of the most oppressive regimes and ideologies on the planet. At least insofar as they are #European in origin and character.
"GENEVA (23 February 2024) – Any transfer of weapons or ammunition to Israel that would be used in Gaza is likely to violate international humanitarian law and must cease immediately, UN experts* warned today."
In the desktop version of BitWarden, go to File → Export Vault. Choose the JSON format (this doesn't work for CSV) and follow the on-screen instructions.
This command pipes your export to JQ. It selects all the items, then it sorts by when the item was last edited. It then displays the name of the account and the date, followed by a newline.
It would be great if BitWarden allowed sorting by date in their UI. Even better if they could sort by usage. Until then, I'll spend every Valentine's Day manually deleting old and unloved accounts.
Goed nieuws voor #dieren wereldwijd! De #Kamer steunt een motie van de #PartijvdDieren
die oproept per direct te stoppen met verzekeringen voor #export die ernstig #dierenleed veroorzaakt. 🧵
Is it on the road map ? Like it would be really useful when an instance it going to shut down or an instace admin goes volatile , so we don’t have to manage several accounts ....
Subscriptions, block lists and general settings can be exported and imported since version 0.19.X
Mastodon doesn’t allow to import posts due to technical limitations (as it would also a security risks, anyone being able to massively inject posts into an instance):
Your posts will not be moved, due to technical limitations.
The 12th round of EU sactions is a move in an ongoing chess match. Could I get someone knowledgeable to explain the economic state of play, what moves they're countering, what they hope to accomplish, likelihood of success...
I know Boomers are clutching their pearls about whether to vote for the nazi septuagenarian with dementia or the octagenarian, but it's not the ONLY story.
@landley Yeah, but that would mean someone would have to do some drab and boring #journalism and read a metric feckton of legalese jargon that amounts to few lines…
There's a reason why #paywalled spechalist publishers like #haufe (as an Example from Germany and in German I know of) can charge triple digits per user, company and month for providing a clear and understandable summary and a longer analysis on how this impacts certain legal ebtities and companies in regards to #trade & #export…
Rishi Sunak’s Brexit deal is up and running. It’s ‘cataclysmic’ for UK food exports.
Just two months after the Windsor Framework came into effect, it's having huge unintended consequences for a key export sector, with hundreds of millions of pounds in trade now at risk.
“A lot of manufacturers will probably just give up on the European market”
Nine out of 10 UK exporting manufacturers are facing challenges trading with the EU nearly three years after the post-Brexit trade deal came into force, according to a survey of British manufacturers.
Make UK, a trade body, said “little improvement” had been made since it conducted its first post-Brexit survey in mid-2021, with business still struggling with the effects of customs bureaucracy and logistics issues.
I spent quite some time configuring the Energy dashboard in #homeassistant. My primary objective was to track how much electricity my home consumes, how much my micro #PV produces and how much I return to the grid.
Finally, this is the result:
https://blog.rozman.info/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/image-11.pngToday is a cold and sunny day, so my heat pump consumes a lot. My 800W solar panels and 600W grid-tied microinverter make only a dent in the overall consumption (~5%). The yellow circle and line show how much energy the sun produces and the purple shows how much I send back to the grid.
I want to send back to the grid as little as possible because I get nothing in return.
Now that I can track the exported electricity in Home Assistant, I see the results and I’m quite satisfied. For example, yesterday I consumed 96% of solar energy and returned 4% to the grid:
https://blog.rozman.info/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/image-12.pngHome assistant calculates this value automagically, but I had to buy some sensors and create some ‘virtual sensors’. The following picture shows which sensors Home Assistant needs to correctly calculate all energy flows:
https://blog.rozman.info/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/image-13-1024x864.png- Grid consumption sensor: I’m using a Tuya 3 phase zigbee clamp meter. I had to create additional ‘virtual’ sensor that adds solar production to the consumption. Reason: Tuya displays already reduced power (grid minus solar), because the inverter is connected to a house grid, which is after the Tuya meter.
Solar production: I’m using a smart plug (Aqara EU-SP01 zigbee) which tracks the production of my small photovoltaic system.
Return to the grid: This is a virtual sensor. I had to define it in cunfiguration.yaml. It calculates how much is returned to the grid if Tuya sensor reports negative power on phase B (where my PV is connected).
#export to grid - if phase b power is negative, then make it positive else export is 0 - sensor: - name: "Export power to grid" unique_id: "export_power_grid" state: > {% if states('sensor.tuya_power_b_patch') | float(0) < 0 %} {{(states('sensor.tuya_power_b_patch') | float(0))*-1 | round (2) }} {% else %} {{'0.0' | float(0) |round(2) }} {% endif %} availability: > {{ states('sensor.tuya_power_b_patch') | is_number }} unit_of_measurement: "W" device_class: power
How do I prevent exporting electricity to the grid? This is my first attempt: I created a simple automation which turns on water heating if export to the grid is > 150W:
A good way to discover interesting posts on here is to follow hashtags. When you do this, posts with the tags will start showing up in your timeline even from accounts you don't follow.
To follow a hashtag, just search for that hashtag, then click the "Follow" button at the top of the page of results for that tag.
To check what you're following, go to your profile and select "followed hashtags" or #
I wish lemmy could have an option like mastodon where you can move your account to another instace without losing your subscriptions , saved posts , posts ,comments .etc.
