Checkers
One of America's great iconic images is that of the Chevrolet Corvette. On every Corvette somewhere is the logo of the crossed flags.
Many Corvette enthusiast will be able to look at these crossed flags and will be able to tell you what year these are from.
This particular set of flags were used on 1958 through 1960 Corvettes. This being a white 1960 convertible. See the full image here: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/checkers-bill-gallagher.html #Checkers#BillGallagherPhotography#BuyIntoArt#AYearForArt#Corvette
@boilingsteam Also, I have to use Facebook because of family and groups. Groups is a huge feature. The car groups I'm involved with have a huge presence and wealth of knowledge/manufacturing/designing in those respective Facebook groups. This used to be facilitated by email mailing lists or forums. There needs to be a good replacement for that, and really, there needs to be a DIY SSO solution for Fediverse platforms.
Factoid Extra: I don’t believe I’ve shared the extraordinary launch ad for the ‘84 Corvette before on this platform & if you haven’t seen it, buckle up…
Words are inadequate to describe this 90 second spectacle which could either be an exercise in Detroit bombast or self-parody.
Corvette Racing’s fourth-place finish at the 6 Hours of Monza may seem unremarkable at first glance. This is because the results prior to last weekend were so impressive. The #33 crew claimed wins at Sebring, Portimao and Le Mans and a second-place finish at Spa before arriving in Italy. As such, you could be fooled
I'm a Corvette nut from Reddit and since we're protesting that site - I figured I'd give a go to a Corvette board here. I'm posting my 2000 Z51 in Torch Red named Lucille! What is your ride? When did you fall in love? Or are you still dreaming like I did the first 45 years of my life? 👋🏼 Save The Wave! #Corvette
A #ThrowBackThursday that I did a little bit over three years ago. Partly because I like the car, partly because I was a fan of the #Transformers and IFYKYK on that one. LOL
Ran in my first #BridgeCityAutosports#Autocross today. I usually run with the #OregonRegion#SCCA, but since I've got both the #350Z and the #C6#Corvette, I figured I'd run the Z with BCA and the Vette with the SCCA. It was a fun event, and the Z performed flawlessly. I need to tighten up the right front swaybar endlink as I can hear it clicking on transition. Looking forward to trying to run a(n almost) full season with both cars this year. Video is fun my fastest (third) run for points.
And for those that missed it from the other day, while on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC for the past week, we also went to the Corvette Show that was happening close to where we were staying.
You can see all of the pictures I took from there via the link below.
Corvettes are my favorite car of all time and have been since I was a little kid, so this was so much fun to see some of the most beautiful cars in the world.
