Blender aficionados will be pleased to read that the EEVEE Next renderer with Screen-Space Global Illumination is now available in the latest alpha builds.
Be sure to open the Preferences and check Interface ➔ Developer Extras, then Experimental ➔ EEVEE Next to activate it.
@metin@stigatle Just tried it on mine, can't say I was impressed, so early days yet, and I think my 1080 isn't up to the needs of this release. The refresh rate was very poor and the denoising a mess, it is called Alpha for a reason 😂
@scopelmatt After your post I decided it was time to give Godot a try. I am not a game dev but had looked at unity and unreal in the past. I have to say Godot is tiny and the demo scene downloaded and ran perfectly on my M1. Very impressed and will definetly look at this more in the future.
Thanks for the heads-up Matteo!
I am currently going through: https://followgraph.vercel.app/
to see whom I may have missed on Mastodon, a long list of potential connections recieved.
Thanks to @metin for the link ❤️
It would nice if Mastodon supported Markdown, a minimum bold and italics.
I love Markdown as it is so clean to read, parsed or not. #markdown#mastodon#editing#mbt3d
I love Visual Studio Code, the fact that an editor this good is free and open source under MIT license is amazing.
I have been programming for longer than I care to say, decades will suffice, and I have used many tools. Some were free but many were not.
I am still apt to use VIM, especially when working remotely but for daily work VSC works for me.
My wired Logitech G502 only lasted 2 years before dying. Really not a fan of Logitech's configurator software, GHub.
Seems like it's hard to find a functionally good mouse without all the annoying RBG facade of gaming mice. I wouldn't have an issue with the gamer/RGB theming if the core hardware + software was more reliable. #hardware
@chris_hayes Still rocking a G502 here, I find it the most comfortable for my hand and the buttons are enough. I agree that the software is a bit crap and just use built in profiles. The only thing the RGB does for me is show which profile I have selected. I have tapped off all the annoying leds on my memory, which are like a disco at night despite it sleeping.
