Sadly most of the route towards Munich will be noise protection walls but sometimes there's a hole for the scenery. Seems like heavy rain towards to east.

Speaking of hanging... was surprised some of the photos of the flying foxes worked. The bats are mostly black when "folded" and the photos are against the brightly lit ceiling. It took like 15 minutes for the lens to dry after entering the 30ยฐC and 1000% humidity building.

Here is my surprisingly long taking side project, my new fox travel bag :blobfoxpeekowo:

Saw the fabric somewhere and needed a new travel bag so, perfect combination. The lining with the galaxy print ended up fitting perfectly I think. Galaxy inside, it's almost a bag of holding! And of course the rainbow zipper, found a leftover piece from making the keychains. :3

Well well, some new residents in the zoo. Actually they are two but the other one didn't really want to present more than his butt to the visitors so this one will have to do.

On a side note, they do have a really dedicated hair stylist, just look at that perfectly groomed mane!

Unfortunately, being the rock stars and picky kittens they are, the building with my personal fennecs is closed off, so I have to wait until Sir Lion is comfy with his new enclosure.

Apparently we have an albino peacock at the zoo. Sadly only sitting on the roof of some building and exchanging insults with another peacock about 200m away. They are extremely loud. :D Although now determined to get full photo of it one day.

And only picture I got from "my" fennec since the inside area is inaccessible currently. She went out for 10 seconds and then returned. Kianga has a video of that: https://meow.social/@kianga/112224632262397945

A few more impressions from the zoo with this absolute unit fur seal. Not sure it needs more fish but it's still besieging the door of food and wonders.

And there I thought tigers love the water but he seemed to be very careful to not step into it when crossing this little water.

The antelopes seemed really annoyed by all the flies. Most of them finally gave up but this one is still trying to fight them back. I am not really sure what species it is though, none of the ones listed on the zoo's website match. So I will just call them mystery antelopes. And the squirrels were up to no good as usual. And chasing one another around a tree trunk after this photo.

They name Objaverse as datasource. Oh look, most of my models were either sold by or scraped from Sketchfab and are in the dataset https://objaverse.allenai.org/explore/?query=&page=1&menu%5BuserName%5D=keeya

Last I checked all my uploads there have their funny "no ai" tag set. From Sketchfab: "NoAI: This model may not be used in datasets for, in the development of, or as inputs to generative AI programs."

So they are not even complying with their own words.

If Nvidia releases that software paid or sells the tech to someone making a paid software from it, I do hope that it will be pirated and put up somewhere for free. That's fair use, no?

WIP of another fursuit commission I am working on. This one's going to be a Charr. :blobfoxpeekowo: Compared to the simple two colored one Kianga has, this one turned out to take slightly longer. 24 pieces and amazingly they all seem to fit in the end!

Surprised it looks rather thick, the base is only 8cm diameter. I guess the fluffy fur really makes them floofy.

@Dodges Oh, Conjuring! :blobfoxfloofdevil: You just set the foundation for a new movie plot: the Warrens go missing and are declared dead, their house goes to someone random and he sells off the collection.

You can even make that into a crossover with Doom and Earth turns into Hell! (With very loud heavy metal)

Made a thing of leftover materials. Meet my new drawer cabinet made of: old cardboard shipping boxes, "wood" filament, recycled PLA filament (can't tell the difference even, wonder if it is recycled even), old plywood and lots of PVA glue. Technically only the front is new material, rest is mostly waste stuff.

Kinda amazed how well it fit together in the end, being cardboard that was shipped through the country already after all. Made the 3D models of it available as well. It's 53 different parts though. :D

Other issues aside, a big problem that's stopping me from using Discord and other services is the requirement to link your phone number (either immediately, or after "suspicious activity" or other methods) and the "convenience features" that entails: Notifications to your contacts that you're on the same platform, appearing in their list automatically, etc.

There's no certain way to stop this, because blocking access to your contact list does nothing if a platform uses people who have you in their contact list as basis instead. There's always this uncertainty that even if there isn't such a feature or it doesn't work this way right now, what about the next update? Surprise, now my family, boss etc. know I'm a wyvern online.

It's easy to keep your identities separate with email, but phone numbers are a royal pain in the ass and I sure as hell won't buy a second SIM just to have proper isolation.

@volpeon That's a real pest now. And it's not only the contacts grabbing. "Hey your colleague from work you hate is now on signal, say hi!" Every service wants a phone number now. For "verification" purposes. Then they "lose" it, either someone copies the database, they sell it or the company gets sold and the buyer cashes in on the customer data because they are not bound to the old ToS anymore.

I've reluctantly give the number in the past to services that required it. Now I get SMS scams like once a month. So one of the services I use(d) "lost" my phone number to criminals. Now I simply don't sign up anymore for sites storing the number permanently. Also deleting it everywhere possible.

For account backup restore they can all just use a backup email. I see no reason SMS should be more secure. I assume it's because ppl reuse their passwords everywhere and SMS they can't fsck up like that. But that's their problem.

Finally these arrived. Took two needless weeks because one print shop ignored me, but found an even better one that can even do the spiral binding. :blobfoxcheer: If you want a printed fox calendar... they can come in A3, A4 and own made A5 table one. I've extended them one more month to include January 2025 as it's a bit late for calendars already.

@volpeon GLS D: I know it's completely different everywhere in the country but for GLS I am always tempted to build a trap door pit to catch them. But after planning that one, I am reminded that they never bother to even deliver it and it goes straight to a parcel shop "nearby"... at the other side of the city.

Maybe you'll have more luck.
