I love Ken Burns but boy is he naive. Talking to the "other side" is pointless when that side doesn't converse from a position of good faith. One side accepts facts and science the other does not. One side believes in the inalienable truth that all men are created equal and the other side thinks brown or queer people or women are "less" than a person.
