Today was a big day in the life of Tapestry.

We read data off the Internet with JavaScript, built a Swift object graph, synced all objects over iCloud, created a beautiful timeline in SwiftUI, and displayed data from RSS/Atom/JSON feeds, GoComics, USGS/NOAA, and YouTube.

Still a lot of work to do before a beta release, but we’re at that tipping point where we can really start to kick ass.

It’s so weird.
Joe Biden hasn’t tweeted about Hunter’s trial being a hoax once today. He hasn’t called it rigged or unfair.
He hasn’t even attacked the judge.
It’s almost as if he’s a reasonable, responsible adult letting the case play out without interference because we’re a nation of laws or something.

The discussion around iPad having a mode that can boot into a Mac partition, that would be extremely cool. Plug in a real keyboard, mouse, and display and you could have a real Mac.

@gedeonm From what I’ve seen, many who are the biggest defenders and proponents of use of genAI for creative purposes are what are known as, “idea guys”.

This group is continually self-convinced of the brilliance of their own ideas but lack the initiative, diligence, skill, and patience to actually make any of them real. They like genAI because it makes them feel like they actually did something and won’t demand proportional compensation like capable artists do.

Raising Arizona was amazing. It's like a manifestation of a feeling. It's a whole mood. I'm not sure how to mentally classify it, tbh. I think "a Coen brothers movie" is about the best I can do. They really have a gift of inducing déjà vu for experiences I've never had.

Danish police has uncovered a fraudulent music producer who was listened to by millions on streaming services and earned millions. The crime? He had no real fans, but achieved his streaming income by letting bot farms listen to his music.

It seems the district attorney has a strong case, because judging from his streaming numbers, the man would be among the most popular musicians in Denmark, even though consumers do not know him at all.

The prosecution seeks jail time.

Bought this rubber carrot dog chewie for Max and boy he loves it. He usually destroys his dog toys in seconds but he’s been working on this thing for over an hour now and it’s still in one piece.

It’s made of some kind of rubber/silicone material that is fun to chomp (not too hard) and the crinkle leaves are really well bonded to the interior. He hasn’t been able to pull them out (yet). Gonna leave a ★★★★★ for this thing. 👍 https://a.co/d/j7CFSyQ

@gedeonm When we had our dog, we used to give him rope toys a lot as well. Although he occasionally picked them apart with nimble teeth. Mind you, he was never really destructive and so his toy pile just grew. Here he was on his 15th birthday, with most of his collection. (We still have a few dotted about the house. Nice to have them as memories.)
