Well, I finally had enough with MLB‘s blackout restrictions. Signed up for a VPN so I can watch all the blacked out games including them playing the Orioles right now which I can never watch. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get it working on the Apple TV.

This past weekend was pretty memorable. Went to Bentonville, AR for Bike Fest. I only brought my e-bike as our goal was to get as much riding in as possible over 3 days. Broke my lower cage on my derailleur, rain dumped on us in the morning of day 2, and day 3 was just perfect. Officially clocked 92 miles of riding during our trip.

Photo of my broken rear derailleur maybe an hour into our first ride. I was riding a bunch of skinnies (elevated wood beams that you can ride across like an obstacle course to test your balance) and I pretty easily cleared them all. But as my front wheel rolled off the last part, I started to pedal and I guess my back wheel was on the very left edge of the wooden blank. I think the power of the e-bike motor caused the wheel to spin and my back wheel slide off the end of the plank on the left and my derailleur landed right on the plank causing it to snap. It was a very costly mistake. I called all the bike shops and luckily found one that had a spare that I could purchase. Stayed off the skinnies for the rest of the trip. 😅 It was painful every time I passed them because I love skinnies.

It seems counterintuitive but Steve is right here. One of the defining aspects of the conservative movement is that they don’t change, at least not for the better. They are firmly rooted in the past and the only way out is through/forward, not back.

@JEkis I should clarify and say it’s not conservatives themselves that can’t change. It’s the political movement/party. And the party itself has been sliding further and further right every year for the last 20 years. I’m not concerned with being “helpful” any longer. The country and frankly the world doesn’t have the time to wait for conservatives to change like you did. We are now, quite literally at the edge of a cliff, politically, environmentally, economically.

@JEkis steve’s entire premise is that there’s no point in hoping to go backwards to the conservative movement before Trump because it was always the way it was they just didn’t say the quiet parts out loud like they do today and I happened to agree with that 100%.
