@CWilbur It is a P-3C modified for test range work "billboard phased array telemetry antenna systems. Each of these systems can track up to five independent, geographically separated, S-Band telemetry sources, (including Harpoon, SLAM, Standard and Tomahawk missiles), provide recorded data collection in the S-band, and can retransmit six L-band frequencies to ground stations for real-time analysis. Two of these airframes have advanced capabilities of tracking five independent targets (extended S-band) with dual polarity and a gain in excess of 30 dB. 11 adults and 3 dogs rescued from the Sespe River Trail on Saturday, March 30th.

"The recent storm over the weekend caused major impacts to the Sespe Trail in the Los Padres National Forest. Rain caused water levels in the Sespe River to rise quickly leaving hikers stranded in harsh conditions. Ground units from the Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were unable to safely access the areas to lead the groups to safety. Two separate rescue helicopters were dispatched to the area. "

@ai6yr Cool! I think I have said this before but I always chuckle when someone at works goes on about say they are prepared cause they are an ER nurse. And yes they have skills which translate but 95% of that is predicated on a huge hospital with support staff and a supply chain. Also nursing like MD has become so specialized that the majority are in skill silos. ER. CCT have the broadest base but without wilderness medicine knowledge will struggle in a disaster

It also is good to know for any MCI as a large scale event will eat up supplies at an unbelievable rate
