Why should states stymie other states? Always do. We call them Iowa/NH primaries, and swing states, and the EC, etc.

Isn’t it harsh to knock him off the ballot? Fuck no, it’s commensurate with someone who tried to overthrow it.

Scam-job Tesla compensation voided by judge, shares slide

NEW: Court ruled Tuesday that Musk & Tesla board “bore the burden of proving that the compensation plan was fair, & they failed to meet their burden.”

The 303 million split-adjusted stock options that Musk had received as part of the package are worth $51 billion today, when calculated using Tuesday’s closing price, less the modest exercise price of $23.34 a share.

Attorneys for shareholders brought the suit: the package of stock options was excessive & that the directors on Tesla’s board were NOT truly independent and were too close to Musk to protect shareholders’ interests.

Also: that the financial targets the company had to hit for Musk to qualify for each of the 12 separate blocks, or “tranches,” of stock were not the “stretch performance goals” Musk cronies lied.

Cryptocurrency people are so funny. Recently someone with deep pockets spent six-figures embedding 9MB of encrypted data into the BTC blockchain.

I read a write-up about it one some website dedicated to cryptocurrency, and the author was especially impressed with the fact that encrypted data cannot be decrypted without a key. He noted that "not even ChatGPT could decrypt it".

Of course Cryptocurrency people don't understand cryptography... That's why they buy pretend internet money.

@skinnylatte um, one sweats endlessly in hot desert. So much so that there’s a brief salty taste to washing my face / showering after a hot hard-work day. And I completely feel the opposite - I’d rather do hard labor and walk miles in 38-48°C desert than endure 32+ and 90% humidity.

    At some point, the search results in the Apple App Store stopped correlating with the search terms for certain apps. I believe that’s what @pluralistic means by “enshittification.”

    It blows me away that I can type in a search term, and the App Store recognizes it, and even auto-completes it for me, but then shows me dozens or hundreds of apps that don’t match my term. 🤔
