Morning Folks! A while back I saw someone on the Fediverse talking about an alternative to GOG Galaxy that gave you access to all of your games regardless of launcher through a single interface. Yesterday I finally got around to installing #Playnite and this morning I talked about my experience so far.

I have to say it is pretty slick and takes up a negligible amount of system resources.

I've been screwing around with #DwarvenRealms early access since seeing almost every single #ARPG Streamer or YouTuber talk about it recently. It is very indie and very alpha... but also very much "big dumb fun".

What if Vampire Survivors had a kid with a very Action Combat World of Warcraft clone. Making an entire screen's worth of enemies explode just makes me giggle.

Populous is such a neat game. It’s not something I would probably ever try to learn today, but it was one of the few SNES games I had early on, and I eventually mastered it.

I’ve since tried the DOS version on GOG but it’s just not as good. Performance is faster but there’s no ambient sounds and getting the SFX and extra world themes to work is an ordeal.

The SNES controller works great for this with all kinds of shortcut button combos.

I get that Nintendo cannot ever seem to read the room... but in shutting down Yuzu they are simply making sure that by next week there will be 10 projects spinning off of it following in their footsteps.

I played the hell out of Yuzu because I preferred playing Switch games on my PC as opposed to the Switch. I still bought the games, I just played them on PC.

I did not sit down to write a negative review of #Nightingale but that is essentially what happened.
