Have a large bill past due. Next paycheck I will be all caught up. Previous expenses threw me off for a couple of pay periods. Luckily this bill past due doesn't report to credit score until 30 days past due, so I still have sufficient time. Almost considered selling my HD 800 S. Not doing it though. I only have 2 headphones left. My other : Clear MG. Sold all my other headphones already. Sold 3/4ths of my . Not allowing myself to sell anything else.

Last weekend on Stage+ I watched Lisa Batiashvili, Gautier Capuçon and Zubin Mehta perform #Brahms. I have most of #LisaBatiashvili's album, she is a lovely #violinist, with a clear unique style. I had never visually seem her perform before. But of course, #GautierCapuçon, seemed to me, to try to steal the performance. He is a good #cellist and he has been on some really good albums as a collaborator, but he rubs me the wrong way. He is not that great. Perhaps he's a nice guy.

It was an excellent performance. Be sure to catch it tomorrow. I didn't realize Gewandhausorchester Leipzig is who Andris Nelsons recorded his Bruckner albums with. So not so surprising. I only have 2 of those and maybe listened to each one once. I have all of his Shostakovich albums, but those are with the BSO. It is clearly not "live" so Deutsche Grammophon is playing fast and loose with the word "live." On the upside, the recording is being released on March 1st.

Yesterday I discovered Stage+ from Deutsche Grammophon. It's pretty great.

I watched:

with the Berliner Philharmoniker brilliantly perform at Suntory Hall in 2000

and perform just last month

and perform 's Goldberg Variations in Seoul in 2023

I think I just found my new self-care regiment. Wish it were less than $15 + tax. It's DG so no surprise, but any more and I wouldn't do it.

It is a strong segment in my plan to overhaul and implement strong #EducationReform that I touch on here https://www.towardspostviolencesocieties.com/ (sorry, not intended as self-promotion, but is intended to help spread the message of #ViolenceStudies and #Education Reform in transforming society). Breaks my heart of universities are limiting and watering down writing.

Last night I fell asleep listening to the Anna Besson (with Myriam Rignol and Jean Rondeau), Corelli & Quentin: Flute Sonatas. It is very good. I am not the biggest fan of wind instruments. I was when I was younger. I have no idea how age has turned me against them. Anna Besson, well, the trio, is amazing on this album. Alpha Classics must agree. They released the as 192 kHz / 24 bit.

Went to the clinic for jabby stabbies ahead of a conference trip to India.

The trip is on... Sunday...

IN MY DEFENSE I was invited to speak quite late, we were landing on the Moon, and my Hep A/B vaccine is... acceptably... up-to-date.

Was given typhoid and tetanus jabbies, and told if I got malaria I wouldn't know about it until I got back to Japan, and they could cure me, it'd just be unpleasant.

My doctor is a practical fellow!

@elizabethtasker For years and years I donated to an organization that gave out nets to protect people from malaria, but they worked throughout Africa. I was not aware it was so common in India.
