Here is it. Aside fro Tuvok's ridiculous quick recovery from burning from the inside out, Tanis is like, "Bring the fire!" and how is that not a cringe moment? Why burn plants as a demonstration of power? Ugh. #AllStarTrek@allstartrek
@allstartrek "When you are ready, Suspiria will embrace you" - this Caretaker cult reminds me of the #DS9 episode, "Covenant" with Dukat as the cult leader. #AllStarTrek
How much is gold-pressed Latinum actually worth? This is a fascinating thought experiment and seems to be pretty spot on. 🖖 #StarTrek#DS9https://youtu.be/7SSnwRshpDc
The mimbari are vulcans, centauri are ferengi, and narn are klingons. The Shadows are probably the Dominion and pah wraiths mixed together. But who were the Vorlons? The prophets, Q, Organians, or Medusans maybe?
I wrote this post about why #StarTrek#DS9 is my favorite Trek series back in 2008 and it’s still true to this day. I adore DS9 with all my heart. Spoliers ahead if you’ve not watched.
Can anyone recommend a curated list of #StarTrek#DeepSpaceNine episodes?
I need to introduce himself indoors to #DS9 & iirc some of the episodes in the first few seasons just aren't worth watching until it finds its feet.
So Rayner on #StarTrek Discovery is a Kellerun, I guess? Deep cut from #DS9. I think this has always been my major complaint about characters on Discovery: please focus on the individuals a bit more and let us learn about them one-on-one.
For the first season of Discovery, the names of the people working the bridge were (in my head) Stuff-Glued-to-Her-Face, Person-to-the-right-of-Stuff-Glued-to-Her-Face, and Robot Woman. Owo's semi-solo episode in season two was INCREDIBLY welcome.
There are people on the Discovery bridge who are more-or-less just filler-faces to this day. What's the deal with Big-Headed-Maybe-Spider-Guy, for example? They've been standing at their post like a good soldier for years with no explanation beyond “they’re bridge crew." How much has Rhys really been allowed to develop? How much character depth has Lt. Nilsson accumulated?
These are people. Don't use them only for set dressing. I WANT to know about their fictional lives.
back a million years ago, a local theater was playing Wrath of Khan, and some friends talked me into going with them. since I'd never watched Star Trek before, I have retained exactly zero of this movie
I still feel a little silly for not having realized earlier than, like, season 4 of #TNG that Noonien Soongh is a different person than Khan Noonien-Singh. another issue with having started out of order ... when I started my TNG watch, all I knew about Khan (besides that there was a movie about him) was what was in #StrangeNewWorlds. I also didn't have a very good grasp on the timeline of the different series (including the 100-year gap)
