Yesterday I learned that, in the world of competitive eating, the Hot Dog championship has men's and women's categories. The men get bigger prizes, and televised coverage. The women get small prizes and no coverage. So far, so normal.

Only, they didn't used to be segregated - there used to be a single event, with men and women competing together. The Men/Women events are quite recent.

Also, no other competitive eating event has gendered categories.

My new extension is finally publicly released. Still some bugs, but it will get better over time.

DeArrow is a browser extension for improving titles and thumbnails on YouTube. It works via crowdsourced submissions and title formatting.

Titles can be any arbitrary text. Thumbnails are screenshots from specific timestamps in the video.
