Horrific. I am Beside myself.

In Plainfield, IL, a 71 year old man is in custody for stabbing to death an 6-year-old Palestinian child named Wadea Al-Fayoume & nearly killing his mother.😓

The murderer stabbed the child 26 times & yelled "you Muslims must die!"😳

No charges filed yet. Police are investigating.

Please be safe my friends. Be diligent and look out for each other. God help us.

To add more to this story of the #Muslim 6yo boy and mother stabbed in #Plainfield #Illinois...

This is in a town very close to me. It is a very typical "small-town America" community, with ~45K people. The (mostly farming) town was previously best known for being devastated by a tornado in 1990. After the tornado, an influx of people moved there from the larger suburbs, creating a mostly politically diverse community.

This man's neighbors say he was "eccentric" because he had strange posters & signs outside his house for the past few years, on political and religious topics. His yard was overcrowded with clutter. He had no police history of violence.

But hate leads to violence eventually.

Indoctrination of #AltRight #Hate can happen anywhere-- even in #SmallTownAmerica.

The #ChicagoCityCouncil today voted to abolish the #TwoTier #wages system, which allowed employers to pay sub-minimum wage, on the expectation that workers would make up that difference from customers tips.

Beginning July 2024, the #SubMinimumWage will gradually increase over the next five years, until it is on par with #Illinois state's #MinimumWage of $15.80/hour.

On today's episode of "Yes, Google hears everything"...

This weekend, I had a mild migraine. (I had not been taking my Vitamin D as I should've been doing, so I had one for the first time in years.)

I did not post on social media about it, talk on the phone to anyone about it, search for anything online about it, etc.

But I did talk about it while near my phone.

The next day, I got TWO ads for "migraine relief."

Take this as a reminder that Google is listening to EVERYTHING YOU SAY.

His other social media says he was disagreeing that the GOP was somehow a "victory for Putin" with his vote against this bill, but I'm not sure what he meant by that.

I would guess his Pro- #Ukraine stance has something to do with it.

Justice W. D.-Dickey in the equity term of the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, after trial, granted to Samuel Freligh an absolute divorce from Mary Freligh. The wife first brought an action against the husband and Freligh made counter charges of Infidelity, declaring that Mrs. Freligh had been too intimate with a bicycle instructor, Wm. L. Baker. The Frellghs lived with their children at 632A Lexington avenue. It was alleged by Freligh in his counter charge that Mrs. Freligh left her home last summer to go on a vacation to Asbury Park, and that it was discovered that a card was tacked on her trunk which read: "Mrs. William L. Baker, Shady Side House, Monroe avenue, Asbury Park, N. J." Baker had been giving bicycle lessons to Mrs. Freligh...

Justice William D. Dickey denied the motion made before him yesterday for allmony and counsel fee in the suit of Mary Freligh against her husband, Samuel Freligh, a stereotyper, for absolute divorce. In her complaint the plaintiff accuses Freleigh of being too familiar with a Mrs. Clark and a Mrs. Hoffmeyer, the latter being Freligh's landlady. Freligh submitted affidavits in which he de- posed that Mrs. Freligh was too friendly with Wilbur F. Baker, a bicycle teacher. In behalf of Freligh his son made an affidavit in which he deposed that, when he put his feet on the sofa at home his mother said that Baker was the only one who had that privilege; that she liked Baker beter than her husband, because Freligh snored and Baker did not.<<
