Das 40,00€ teurer gewordene Nachfolgeticket zum 9-Euro-Ticket soll Daten melken. Zwar solle das Ticket übergangsweise nicht nur für Smartphones erhältlich sein sondern auch auf Chip-Karten und kurzzeitig auf Papier mit QR-Code, aber wichtig scheint es den Regierenden vor allem anderen, dass mit dem 49€-Ticket Echtzeit-Verkehrsdaten erhoben werden können.
Positiv klingt zunächst: "Es werde nicht gespeichert, wer von A nach B fährt, sondern nur, wie stark die Verkehrsmittel ausgelastet sind. Für die Fahrgäste könnte das ein Nutzen sein, weil die Verkehrsunternehmen so für ausreichend Kapazitäten sorgen könnten."
Allerdings: Das Ticket wird wohl nur als Abo personalisiert erworben werden können, so dass darüber anfallende Personendaten zukünftig schnell integriert werden könnten. Mit Hinblick auf den aktuellen massiven Ausbau des Überwachungsstaats und der Kontrollgesellschaft in Deutschland und der EU (digitale Personenkennziffer/RegMod, Chatkontrolle, Identifizierungspflicht, Biometrie, eIDAS uvm) ist es doch auch gar nicht die Frage ob, sondern nur wann und mit welchem Vorwand (Anschläge, Pandemie, Jugendschutz, Wahlkampf) personalisierte Datenerfassung und Polizeizugriffe kommen werden, sobald die digitale Kontrollinfrastruktur erst einmal errichtet wurde.
Dass es bei der #Chatkontrolle nicht um den behaupteten Schutz von Kindern geht, sondern um allgemeine Verschlüsselungsverbote, Identifizierungspflichten und die Errichtung neuer digitaler, erweiterbare Kontrollinfrastrukturen, dürfte längst bekannt sein.
Dass Staaten und #EU in diesem Zusammenhang jetzt sogar noch auf die Echtzeit-Überwachung von Audiokommunikation hinarbeiten, zeigt, wie weit und maßlos die autoritären Bestrebungen der Herrschenden offensichtlich reichen und wie gefährlich "digitale Vorhaben" der EU ganz allgemein sind.
Es sollte aber auch bedacht werden, dass es sich bei so etwas um taktische Maximalforderung handeln kann. Nach dem Muster, dass alles andere dann "nicht mehr so schlimm" wirkt und im Falle einer vermeintlichen Abschwächung des Vorhabens oder eines Gerichtsurteils, zwar ein "Immerhin ist das mit der Audioüberwachung nicht durchgekommen" steht und irgendwelche Seiten und Parteien sich mal wieder für irgendwelche faulen Kompromisse feiern lassen, während trotzdem die #Massenüberwachung von persönlicher Text-Kommunikation, Identifizierungspflichten für Chatprogramme, Websites und App-Stores sowie Netzsperren durchgesetzt werden.

It seems that the #privacy strength of the #fediverse was that no one barely knew it existed, not that it was built on a rugged social protocol with privacy built-in. As this post by @@jupiter_rowland has me thinking, how would you actually stop #Meta or anyone hoovering up the Fediverse?
We couldn't even get search sorted with some Fediverse consensus and extended at a protocol level. There's folks who thought #noindex HMTL tags in #Mastodon were readable over #ActivityPub by other services with full-text search that had been around longer than Mastodon. And Google just easily indexed the Fediverse once it gained some popularity so it's publicly searchable anyway and will be even easier once they launch their Perspectives social search tab.
Yet folks thought Universeodon's search patch was so egregious and worth their performative outrage, and again, that defederation would somehow fix things.
