I am not saying that toxic masculinity is why Oppenheimer if getting awards despite Barbie being superior, but I am saying I am unimpressed by any claims at DEI progressivism or cultural avante gaude in Hollywood.

Robert Downey Jr is outstanding. Oscar is as near a cert as these awards can be. The makeup team should get one for the ageing of the various actors as the timeline goes from the 1930s to the 1960s.
I already knew most of the science background. The politicking and skullduggery were new to me.
I liked the last hour a lot. Others have said that wasn’t needed. It’s not a film of the year candidate for me. Anyway, I am rating it 8/10.
It's finally come to this. I'm going to watch Oppenheimer tonight. I didn't go to see it in the cinema. I went to Barbie for a second time instead on the day I was going to see Oppenheimer. I know the story, so I have no real interest in it.
I have a VOD rental that expires in a week.

I still haven’t watched Oppenheimer film. I know the real-world story of Oppenheimer from popular science reading. So I didn’t go to see the film in the cinema. I went to see Barbie twice instead.
I’ll rent the Oppenheimer film when it hits the VOD rental sites on the 18th of December.
Nolan should've made the #Barbie movie as well, set in the same universe as #Oppenheimer. Imagine following Barbie's adventures in France, then being hired by American intelligence, and finally starting a new life in Argentina and Bolivia.
Sadly, Barbie is not put on trial in the Hague, where other German war criminals were sentenced. But justice eventually found him in the 1980s, and he received a life sentence. The movie waiting to happen!
