🎹 So I am in a #Cyberpunk kind of mood 😅 here is a preview of my piece of music, it's not finished yet!! I would love to know your thoughts/feedback!! 😊💜
Reaper is every bit as popular as Bitwig and Ardour, and possibly more so in the Linux realm. I have doubts that metrics from just those two developers would give a clear enough picture as to the number of linux users. There are probably 20 DAWs available in the Linux world.
Along with the little oddball DAWs, there are big names, like Presonus, Bitwig, Harrison, and Cockos. Here is a list of just the most popular ones:
@tinelinen@musicweeklies@balou19812 I’ve found really twisting up audio in RIP X has been great. It’s sampling but so much more, especially once you start getting stems into MIDI and such. It’s not the be all and end all but definitely helps when stuck.
"Horn’s own fire, however, seems in no danger of going out. Multiple projects keep him in touch with music and production (Dr Dre is his favorite producer, while his son Aaron was Grammy-nominated for his own production work with Doja Cat), and he is contemplating both a Los Angeles-based concept album and a Buggles tour for next year."
I really didn't expect 1010Music to add USB audio, but it's a very welcome addition!
It's not the world's most feature-rich implementation—just stereo in/out 44.8k/24-bit—but it's perfect for my needs and lets me get rid of one more device from my live setup.
A slightly belated #introduction... A #bedroomproducer making mostly #melancholymusic that invariably starts with piano but is subjected to all manner of electronic, computer stuff. Always working on something, so new music on the way, via Bandcamp, Spotify and pretty much everywhere else.
