It has been good to just create something without a plan, no pressure, no guidelines. It’s what my head amy heart needed this past two weeks. #art#craft#woodworking#Pyro#Pyrography#artist#mushrooms#handmade#burn#colour
Friends gifted me some dried candy cap #mushrooms (Lactarius rubidus) they foraged. Thinking about grating them into some cream cheese frosting for the butter pecan cake I made, or maybe I should do something else with them? 🤔 Pretty rare and special gift, I'm pretty sure they don't grow here, so thinking of a good way to appreciate them fully. 🤔 #cooking#foraging#foray
Bird's nest #fungus on a rotting stick, 9 October 2021, Petersham, #Massachusetts. These are around 1/4 inch in diameter. I first encountered the Nidulariaceae (from the Latin "nidulus" for "small nest") around a year or so ago and they never cease to amaze me.
Fungi are neat. Found these tiny birds nest fungi (Crucibulum sp.) in the yard growing on some fallen oak branches. The "nest" part is maybe 6mm wide. #mushrooms#nature#mushtodon
