Ersatzteile und Reparaturanleitungen müssen z.B. mind. 7 Jahre verfügbar gemacht werden, um eine gute Note beim "Indice de réparabilité" zu erreichen. So auch beim #Smartphone.

Not only has Apple made its various OS versions incompatible w/other manufacturers, they made their older Apple products incompatible w/new ones, forcing consumers to buy new (aka #PlannedObsolescence#economic theory). They’ve not only done this by abandoning USB, but even the screw drive type. I can’t tell you how many different tiny screwdrivers I have!

find any spare parts on the usual search engine or on-line shops.
Maybe it's not worth fixing it but it still working.

Mercredi, l'écran de mon Fairphone 3 a commencé à faire des siennes, probablement après avoir pris l'eau. Comme le téléphone semble s'allumer sans problème, je suspecte un probleme d'écran uniquement.
Quelques tours de tournevis plus tard, en retirant l'écran, je remarque des traces noires sur l'interface entre l'écran et la carte mère. Trois coups de mouchoir, remontage, et problème résolu !
Cette année, on a charbonné fort. Plus de 600Kg en plus de ce qu'on a fait l'année passée, record explosé! Il est temps de faire un petit bilan, non? #GreenIT#Reconditionnement#Environnement#Ecologie#eWaste#iFixit

Manual reset doesn't work so it looks like I need to crack open my #Kobo#eReader. Nothing is working on it apart from the LED on the power button which will turn on & off signifying nothing as far as I can tell. But first I need to wait for the kit with the spudger to be delivered because we don't have one in the house. On the plus side, my partner remembered he had an old eReader in the spares cupboard so that's helped me claw my way back from a total meltdown.
Spent a tenner on a small assortment of #iFixit tools & saved myself more than a hundred quid (the price of a new eReader). It took all of 2 minutes to pop the back & pull/reset the memory card & lo, my #Kobo turns on again. 🥳 #repair
Time to do some retro gaming, but first it needs some repairing/cleaning apparently. First time this one is opened I think.. It does not work at all, hopefully all it needs is a good scrub
