Spent considerable time this AM wiring up some MIDI cables to my effects units, and learning about MIDI Beat Clock. Pretty neat to see the tempo change in the DAW and the delays change to match.
Fortunately, the resonance I noticed yesterday is actually caused by my room. It disappears when I activate Sonarworks.
In fact, Sonarworks has to intervene strongly, which the measurement results of the last few days have also suggested.
The combination of the acoustic treatment and Sonarworks really delivers a great result. The bass range is much more transparent, I can now hear much better what is happening in the bass range.

Take a board and just spray a layer, then lattice it. Spray glue and then glue material over it to keep it dust free.
The current status of the #reconstruction of my #homestudio. The #acousticmodule (s) and the cabling for the #tabletop#synthesizer (s) are still to be done. But soon after that, I plan to ceremoniously run #power to the system for the first time. 🥳
I already have a 1000 watt #ups setup to intercept #powercut (s) that have become more frequent recently. We may have to invest in a #photovoltaic system in the future. 🤔 #babystep (s)
C'est exactement ça. Pour la MAO la crainte est toujours le coût et l'espace. J'ai fait justement une vidéo sur cet aspect parce que je suis certain que certains renoncent à l'activité pour ces deux raisons alors qu'on peut trouver des solutions, presque sans compromis. Je trouve ca triste que certains passent à côté si c'est une envie qu'ils ont.
Une société qui fait de la musique est toujours meilleure. C'est un langage universel, ca dépasse toute les langues et cultures.
Wow! I didn’t think they’d do it, but TC Electronic has updated their ‘Icon’ series of audio plugins to be compatible with Apple’s M series processors.
The plugins themselves are great standalone, but having the little desktop controller makes it easy to get ‘hands on’ and make tweaks based on the sound and not the visual on screen. Plus, I’ve found them to be a great teaching aid for people just getting into mixing.
Finally my amps have found a place and the absorbers are at the wall. A small room is quiete challenging but step by step my studio enviroment gets ready.

Only problem I'd have is the monitor right in front of the window. Unless you're going to work night shifts you'll always have too much brightness from behind the monitor.
I would've positioned the monitor to the wall on the right, if possible.
But I guess you optimized the tiny room to your needs already?

Actually the sun is only shining through this window in the morning. I‘m only using this room in the afternoon/ evening so the sun/ brightness isn‘t a problem.
I decided to put the desk this way because of the acoustics. Even without measuring it is obvious that the other way around they would have been horrible.

I think we are ready for #hurricanehilary . Got plenty of drink, flashlights just in case, food, and CBD for Hobbs should there be thunder and lightning. Hopefully, I’ll be spending time in my #homestudio as long as there is electricity. We may be getting 2-3” of rain so, not as bad as some areas. I hope further south of us fares well.
