I finally decided to grow up and learn #Ardour and dump #Reaper as my #DAW. No shade on Reaper, it's a fabulous piece of proprietary software that runs well on #Linux. It's reasonably priced and highly functional. All things being equal, I'd rather use and support free software. So, when I got the point where I made my first export in Ardour, it asked me to become a subscriber, which I did, gladly, as the software works very well (for my purposes).
As some of you know, I regularly write to #plugin#vendor (s) that I would like to be able to use their #synth (s) and #effect (s) #native (ly) on #linux. And wow, the feedback has changed for the better lately! 🥳
I'm currently testing a bunch of plugins that I never dreamed would make it to #linuxaudio. 🫣😜
Unfortunately, I have to keep quiet for now and it will probably take some time for them to be released, but I am more than excited. 😝 #musicproduction#daw

any good #DAW recs on #linux? i know #reason isn't available on linux and #flstudio is ok i guess. #lmms is cool but very limited and hard to work with. i like to click and write midi notes mostly. #musicproduction
I''m reading up on #musictheory and being a visualized person I tried to visualize the relation between major and minor scales based on a lot of articles out there.
#bitwig has a nice feature where you can layer #midi clips, so this turned out pretty nice.
Green: Major scales
Orange: Minor scales
Grey: Their relative Major/Minor
I've talked before about how some default #DAW metronome sounds are stupid. #Cubase, #ProTools... Just go home. Go home, stay at home and don't let anyone have to hear that shower singing noise. Kill it with fire. Or water as the case may be.
