#Compost, around a cubic metre of it. All materials from last year (2023). Looks good and smells and feels nice. Would already do for a #mulch but I won't be using it until the autumn, so it has another eight or nine months to decompose more. Home to lots of #earthworms.
These may be the funnest stickers I ever created. Stickers make me feel so youthful! Once I get all of this series listed, I will be getting a set for myself. LOL
Mulched beds, borders and (young) shrubs and trees. Exhausted now and all of our own #compost used up. Vegetable garden mulched a couple of weeks ago already. In all I had about ¾ of a cubic metre of compost. Not enough.
"This free introduction to #permaculture is meant for the novice and the professional alike, with no prior experience necessary. For the person new to permaculture #design and land #stewardship, this #book will provide a foundation from which to build upon with subsequent training, and introduce a new perspective that can be applied in many careers and facets of life.
For the #gardener, #farmer, nurseryman, architect, #landscaper, land manager, developer, engineer, aid worker, planner or #activist, this book can help to deepen and focus the good work you’re already doing, and provide a grounding in the permaculture design process that you can apply in your current endeavors. The book is not teaching specific techniques as much as a system and process of design which can be used to enhance work in many different fields." https://open.oregonstate.education/permaculture/front-matter/introduction/
I’ve been here for a year 🥳 and it’s about time for an #intro. Hi, I’m Ms. Mac. Pronounced ‘Miss Mac! Miss Mac!’ and accompanied by a warm hug. Former runner, avid reader & gardener. I’ve lived my life backward. Grew up in #Michigan; didn’t really have a childhood for … reasons. Put myself through Smith College in #Massachusetts. Fabulous women’s college, can recommend. Lived in #Chicago, then #Bisbee, Arizona. Got married, had a couple awesome kids, then went to law school. University of #Arizona. Go Wildcats! Had a career in civil, criminal, appellate work, mainly as an Assistant US Attorney. Had a bonus baby — now a teen 🫠 — and another marriage. Then family needed me, so I retired. Cared for my mom with #dementia til the end. Accidentally fell into the Best Job in the World: public school #librarian & community #gardener. I’m finally giving back to my community, to this k-8 #school full of beautiful, loving, enthusiastic kids from all over the world. I am the luckiest woman ever, knock wood. 🌈 #today
I am a big color kinda artist, but sometimes I enjoy the simplicity of black and white. When the work depends on shadow, depth, texture and highlights...
