Small #flood in my city today. The main river rose 7m in 24h, but thankfully, it has now stopped rising, and it shouldn't rain for the rest of the week.

More than 100 people are dead and 136 people have been reported missing in Brazil after unprecedented rainfall devastated the state of Rio Grande do Sul with flooding. The Brazilian government is warning residents that more rain is expected. Rescue efforts were suspended on Wednesday in the face of continuing precipitation and winds exceeding 50 miles (80 Kilometers) per hour. USA Today has more on the disaster.
🇧🇷 #Brazil: Among the 497 cities in the state, 414 have been hit. As you read this, there is a chance people are still waiting on roofs for rescue, trapped in houses and buildings surrounded by water. Others are still looking for victims of landslides. Many are without access to clean water, power, or ways of coming and going from their cities, with bridges missing and roads destroyed.
Praying for the people during such hard times. Flood has caused a lot of casualties in Brazil.
Nearly 400 municipalities have been affected by the worst natural calamity ever to hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with hundreds of people injured and 160,000 forced from their homes.
