stop using #tabs and your #browser#history to save #links. i shouldn't have to explain why, but i will. you're gonna lose those tabs when your browser crashes (WHEN.). browser history should be cleared often. don't depend on that.
In that case, it probably makes sense that the #extension assumes a #URI#type, but it should at least say that it is a #QR of a different type. Instead, it tries to #read the QR code as a URI type, which I think is the extension's #issue.
I am fairly certain that this will cause certain sites to end up with affected layouts, if they haven't specified expected image sizes or aspect ratios or so, but in the few sites that I tried just now it seems to work quite nicely.
Hey there, I set up a Wefwef-Instance behind a ngninx reverse proxy. The server responds fine, yet when I call it through a forwarded domain, Wefwef will only return the page-header (“wefwef for lemmy”) and a black page. Does anyone know why that would be?...
Greetings, kbeans! I wanted to inform you that Kbin Link is now available on the Firefox Extension Store. If you're interested, you can find more information about it here: https://github.com/driccio98/kbin-link....
This extension helps users subscribed to Lemmy communities by adding an icon before mentions or URLs related to other communities. These mentions can be in the format "!communityname" or through URLs like "https://lemmy.ml/c/memes"....
On GNOME, live coding during a presentation and need quick access to snippets? (e.g., that URL for something, etc.)
Check out the Copier GNOME extension. You set it up with the path of a directory where you have .txt files stores and it lets you select them from a system menu and copies the one you selected to the clipboard.
Simple. Beautiful. Love it! (Took me ages to find this.) )
Time to show off and to share your best Firefox extensions! 🦊
• What are your favorite and most useful Firefox extensions? Why?
• What are your funniest and probably most useless extensions?
• What are your most weird extensions?
Mastodon often fails to show up-to-date context and information on posts from remote instances. Substitoot is a browser extension that fixes this.
Now also available for Chrome! Note: the current published Chrome build has a dumb bug where it doesn't start up properly, so please open the "settings" yourself to set it up! The fix is in review.
Consent-O-Matic is a browser extension that auto-responds to all the #GDPR and similar consent popups with optimal user preferences.
Unlike the extension "I don't care about cookies" which just accepts all cookies, Consent-O-Matic clicks the prompts on your behalf to reject most of the cookies. You can also choose what to accept/reject in the preferences.
Available for Firefox, Chrome and others.
I've been using this on Firefox :firefox: for quite sometime now and it works great!
Allows you to create a list of #libraries where you have a card (borrowing privileges), and then displays ebook / audiobook availability when you visit certain book pages.
It's very cool and has saved me alot of money (borrowing vs buying).

Hi /kbin! I'm currently working on a small browser extension for /kbin users.
This extension helps users subscribed to Lemmy communities by adding an icon before mentions or URLs related to other communities. These mentions can be in the format "!communityname" or through URLs like "https://lemmy.ml/c/memes"....
