I have a landscape and architecture show coming up in June at Archival Gallery in Sacramento. I have been busy cranking out new pieces. I'm thankful I get to put all day, everyday into #art. I am recovering from a brain tumor and paralysis, living at longterm care/rehab center (unfortunately, pretty bare-bones sucky) while I learn to walk again.
Part of my recovery is to knit - fine motor skills! But my stash is utterly pathetic, as is my bank account.

So I am a convert to leather thimbles, especially the ones by Clover. SO comfy! :D Unfortunately, they wear out pretty quickly, so I ordered a second one, and… yeah. There are some quality issues here. :\
Left was my first thimble, the right is the new one; same size, S. Visibly smaller, and is much harder to get on my finger. Also the quality of the leather stamping isn't as nice.
New piece. Just finished the stitching - 24 hours, 39 minutes. It's a sunset at Lake Greenhaven, photo reference by my friend Jude. Hand stitched in sewing thread, mainly single threaded.

People describe my embroidery as extreme stumpwork. I like to break out of the hoop and make a lot of 3D accessories and objects. Also I make a lot of stuff from the game #genshinimpact
I used that soak & tear away cross-stitch fabric to cross-stitch 2 bees on the hip of my tracksuit as a thread was pulled and a hole was starting. Then I tried just stitching over a hole by the thigh with a weird bee-like thing.
I might vandalise them further with cross stitch another day 😁
