@halcionandon @neisvoid @spoonies i bought an NHS TENS machine & got great relief from the endo pain for a very long time. The wires got in the way but it was worth it.It did feck all for the pain of the adhesions tearing apart though.
It might be worth a look?
I didn't go for the cheaper or period-marketed ones coz they had a very tiny current (family bought them for me) & were useless but the NHS one off ebay was much better.

Because I'm parked by beaches, rivers and parks so I can get the dogs out and wander myself, I see a lot of joggers & walkers. One thing stands out a LOT to me.

Guys jogging or walking have over the head earphones or earphones in both ears (I see them going & returning so both sides).

Women rarely have earphones. If they do, one is always hanging by the cord down the front, or is only in one ear (wireless).

Wouldn't it be great if women could feel safe enough to wear in both ears like men do.

@fkamiah17 No it shouldn't. My husband suggested a set of the big over the head earphones for watching the tablet in the evenings and for going for walks & I said no. 1, I'd rarely use them, 2, I wouldn't be comfortable not being on full alert either on a walk or in the van. He would often sit on a bench by a river with his on, his back to the path & wondered why I didn't do the same.

I was never assaulted, attacked or harassed in the area where I grew up. Never. Even though the area had a bad name for violence & crime. Why? Vigilantes. Outside that area, it was a daily occurrence getting harassed.
Never once did a cop come to help. Two even witnessed my sexual assault & laughed it off with "boys will be boys". It was literally 10 steps from the cop station. They wouldn't take a report coz the lads were "only messing"

@fkamiah17 @afewbugs Every woman has a story of one or an almost one. Many "almost" are still one because we are taught to play them down & it's only years later we realise it was a sexual assault. Im sorry you were a target. But I am damn glad one got a battering.

@thepoliticalcat @fkamiah17 @afewbugs It's very hard to speak of what gets done to women by men, so that took guts from them to even mention it. Every woman has a story - usually multiple stories. The "accidental" brush against their chest, the hand up their skirt as they climb the stairs in public/bus/work/hospital/anywhere, the cat-calls in school uniform, the warning from a guy friend about his "handsy" buddy but he's harmless (he's not) etc.

It's not all down to mothers to educate their sons. Fathers gotta step up & do it, teach them what's acceptable or not.

With lots of blogs popping back up since the explosion on the other social media site, does anyone have a recommendation for a blog?
I used have a Blogger thing going for my crafts but I'd like something different.
Something simple too.
I used code in html, javascript, php, run forums, hack in extras to them etc (so not a total newb but I've gotten old!) so a drag n drop thing, that I can use from my phone (as I'm in a campervan without a laptop) would be great.

Mom is up and dying to see the Karcher electric mop in action. I have assured her that I am not a manky bastard and that I do, in fact, clean the house.

I have left a small coffee stain on the tiles for the last 3 days as a test

@devxvda that's impressive though. I'm usually down on my hands and knees with a glass scraper/blade to get them off if I've missed taping up a bit of sheet or my wet cloth didn't catch them while they're wet.
Who likes cleaning though 🤣

This afternoon we were treated to a great Laurel & Hardy show in Cobh. Despite burning hot temperatures, Lucky Dog Theatre Productions and Haulbowline Theatre Group put on a great show and entertained the crowd around the Bandstand in the park.
It's amazing that it's exactly 70 years since Laurel & Hardy were in Cobh last!

@donncha Aw man. We were gonna cycle down to Cobh today but we're a bit sore. That would have been fab! I used appear with Haulbowline Theatre Group every so often when they needed young ones. It would have been great to see that show
