Nachmieter im Anflug: Anscheinend ist schon Zeit für eine zweite Runde :blobcathappy: .
Eine Frage an die Ornithologen: Soll ich das alte Nest entfernen, oder wird das wiederverwendet?
Since moving house in December, we have had very few birds in the garden (expected). At our last house, I'd be watching all the fledgling scampering around the garden about now, but here nothing until this morning when a Juvenile Pied Wagtail paid us a visit.

A bit of nature to help with the flood of news. Heard a loud kerfuffle between Yellow-billed Cuckoos and Carolina Chickadees. Apparently the Cuckoos had tried to drop an egg in the Chickadee nest. Chickadees are small, cute and fierce, so they won the day defending the nest.
Another beautiful day--cool, partly cloudy, breezy and totally lacking mosquitos. Because it was so cool, the birds were waiting in long lines by the time the feeders came out at 10am. (We lock them up at night to keep them away from the raccoons and deer.) #birds#birding#birdsofmastodon#birdphotography#nature#hummingbird#finch#tanager
Sora-ing high … my husband @CTGT and I were thrilled to add a lifer to our list this weekend, an adult Sora and three of her adorable fluffy black chicks. Tiny and skulky, she was fleet of foot - not hard with those big green puppies - in this shallow marshy pond, especially chasing off an encroaching American Robin that was also foraging for worms. Cropped photo collage in the comments if you’re interested in a closer look.
