You might've heard of ASCII or UTF-8. These character encodings built by very smart people.
I just built “UTF-21”, an impractical alternative that only a fool would use. Read about it (with a short Unicode crash course) here: https://evanhahn.com/utf-21/
"In my thesis, I study Amiga ASCII text art. Amiga ASCII is a form of text art where the composition of letter characters set in the Amiga computer's font forms a two-dimensional representation or image. The Amiga scene is a subculture of computer enthusiasts that was popular in the 1990s. At its core are the logos and other visual materials created for BBS systems and the competitive rivalry among artists who create text art over their image-making prowess."
Probably a good time to redo my #introduction since I've moved instances.
Hi, I'm Foxfire! My main hobby is making digital artwork, mostly related to anthro / furry characters. I like to try different things, but mainly fall into more toony lined stuff, lineless, and pixel art content. My public posts will be infrequent and art related, so if anything here interests you, a follow to better federate this new account would be greatly appreciated!
