Un démon plantait à peu près tous les jours. Je mets en place un script qui teste s'il est toujours là et le démarre sinon, et, depuis, le démon ne plante plus (là, trois jours d'uptime). #Alpine
#AlpineLinux is generally my default goto for #kubernetes#container image bases when I'm writing stuff from scratch. I love how lightweight and simple it is, so I'll often start there until I can prove that I need something more complex.
On that note - need to move some #Kubernetes data to S3? Here's an #Alpine image I pushed today that includes #s3cmd and zip and gets built/tested/pushed weekly by our Jenkins farm at my $DAYJOB. Perfect for a sidecar container or CronJob backup, etc. Enjoy! (And if this is useful to you, thank the Alpine and s3cmd folks, because they by far did most of the work.)
Today I installed #php 8.3 on my VServer ( #Alpine Linux) and tried to switch to that version with ln -fs /usr/bin/php83 /usr/bin/php .
Previously I used php 8.2.x
The problem is, #Friendica 's Admin Page says this:
The phpinfo() included in the admin area also says 8.2.18 and I have deleted the php-fpm82 service and added and started the php-fpm83 service and also restarted the php and apache and mariadb services and rebooted the server..
Looks like I'll shortly need to decide what OS to put on my #Framework 16 :)
Likely I'll go back to #Arch, but I'm tempted to try #Alpine for the first time. I do need to be able to install zoom though, which looks like it might be a challenge on alpine?
The word was first mentioned in 1651 & described as an #illness in 1688.
In 1710, it was claimed that music of Swiss #Alpine herdsmen & the Guggisberglied (a #folk song), led Swiss soldiers to desert. The singing of the same resulted (allegedly) in capital #punishment.
One doctor thought that the low air pressure made the Swiss sick with longing & would lead, if not returned home, to their eventual #death.
I have a #proxmox problem where it looks like id's in the webgui are wrong.
If I connect to the command prompt it connects to the wrong vm. #homelab
Anybody see that problem before?
And know what to do perhaps?
Happens on #alpine vm's without kvm-client running
It was actually easier than expected to get everything up and running: probably 30-40 minutes until everything was properly working/pretty due to hidpi. Also found out about @tokodon as well!
Some stranger dev stuff might need chroot/containers but nothing extraordinary. #Flatpak also working nice.
Alpine Linux while running a full KDE Plasma installation with all KDE applications included, while idle is using only 611 Mb. When loading Mozilla Firefox with 5 web pages (5 open tabs), the system climbs to about 1.4 Gb (1455 Mb).
I realized today, how long ago it has been since using Alpine Linux. The last time I did so, it did not have the simple Q&A setup wizard. -It has been that long.
