I used to be an avid skier in my youth. One of my friends owned a private ski resort near Innsbruck Austria. It was wonderful skiing, but they had to do their own ski patrolling. Being the curious person I am, I learned. We always skied with beacons.
"Never give up on a sunset", a photographer once told me. Nature painted an array of colors blended in shades like Ive never seen! Rainbow beams pierced the clouds, reflecting colors into the snow covered ground and sky above. I was skiing down Mt Hood when suddenly the snow shifted colors, I stopped, looked up & realized. I will be visiting #Japan for a business trip in March. It will be my first time, and I have planned 5-6 vacation days after work, so I am currently looking for outdoor/mountain advice!
I'd love to go hiking, but if everything is snow-covered, I wouldn't mind going snow-boarding instead.
OC Went out to SLC and got lucky to have 14" of fresh snow up at Snowbird. All my favorite runs were off little cloud lift. (youtu.be)
We mainly hit Rasta Chutes and Gad Chutes because the snow there was so nice and those are some really fun runs.
