Last year, the wealthy and powerful gathered in #Davos for the #WEF and had extensive #COVID19 policies in place. Attendees' badges wouldn't activate until they took a PCR test. And rooms had serious air filtering.
The meeting in Davos is again underway, but I can find no information online about COVID. It appears the WEF has given up worrying about protecting attendees (or they're quieter about it this year.) If you see any news on COVID precautions in Davos, please share with me!

It is a deliberate strategy to show the stark contrast between discourse of the supposed benefits for all of trickle-down economic 'growth', and the reality of monopolies, oligopolies, and growing global inequalities.

My employer pays tax to pay me, after that I get to pay it again when I receive my paycheck! With that paycheck I have the luck to pay taxes again when I buy something and if I’m careful and save something I can also pay taxes for that :blobcatgiggle:
It doesn’t seem fair but I do get to live in a country where it’s relative safe, we have good infrastructure and healthcare and a reasonable government so at the end it does balance out
