There are many thousands missing, wounded, imprisoned (military and civilians) in Russian prisons, kidnapped children.
It is impossible to say how many people died in the first TWO years of the full-scale war in Mariupol, Lysychansk, Popasna & Sievierodonetsk - there were reports of large casualties among civilians. There is no access to Ukraine territories due to Russian occupation.
At the start of 2024, Human Rights Watch has estimated that at least 8,000 civilians were killed in #Mariupol during combat for the city. Obviously, the number of civilian victims can turn out to be much larger.
Let's finally stop this war. Ukraine must win and be restored.

#Ukrainian officials: Russian forces routinely fire 10 times as many artillery rounds per day as the Ukrainian military. This means that Russia fires up to 20,000 artillery shells DAILY. Artillery has been a significant factor in the conflict, accounting for about 80 percent of the casualties. Murdering Ukrainians and destroying towns, cities, schools, hospitals, power plants, and energy infrastructure.
Update: Russia is firing a staggering 20,000 artillery rounds per day, US reports, while Ukraine is firing 7,000 rounds daily.
That's not counting mortar shells, mines, grenades, and many millions of rifle cartridges a month!
At least four people were killed and 28 seriously injured as Putin's army hit the seaside city of #Odesa#Ukraine. Putin's army missile attack damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, including the Palace of Students of the National University "Odesa Law Academy". The fire broke out there and destroyed the building.
#Ukrainians should not live through the constant Russian attacks. The air defence system is needed to shelter peaceful #Ukrainian cities. And the global effort is essential to stop this terror for good.

Putin lied about the 1999 apartment building bombings, 2000 Kursk submarine disaster, 2004 Beslan school siege, murders of Politkovskaya in 2006, Magnitsky in 2009, Nemtsov in 2015, and many other critics, Russian soldiers occupying #Crimea, the downing of MH17, and plans to invade Ukraine, to name a few lies on a very, very long list.

Kira’s father was killed, Ilya’s mother died in his little arms, and Oleksandr’s mother was disappeared. Then the Russians tried to kidnap them. Their grandparents rescued them before they could be transported to one of 80 reeducation camps to be raised as Russians.
Reports from 700,000 to at least 300,000 kids have been stolen from #Ukraine. Russia is trying to steal Ukraine’s future. In the occupied territory the true number is not fully known yet- it could be in the millions.

We already knew the #Ukrainians had reactivated some of their aged S-200 batteries—out of 16 the #Soviet air force once maintained all across Ukraine—because they’ve been lobbing them at targets on the ground in occupied Ukraine, and even in #Russia itself.
We didn’t know the Ukrainians were firing the brutish missiles at aerial targets until this week.
